My Son Hits Hole-In-One and Sets Record!

A proud day for a dad!  My wife and I took Cal to play putt putt for the first time ever.  Since he is only 2, we weren't sure what we were getting in to.  Cal loves playing golf.  He plays every day in the backyard with his plastic clubs.  This was his first time with a real ball and a real club.  We went to the place near our house in Newburgh.

It was hysterical.  It took awhile to explain to him that he had to hit the ball toward the hole.  He just wanted to knock the heck out of it all over the place.  It was also hard to keep his attention away from the neat water fountains all over the course.

So we come to the final hole #18.  Cal actually got ahead of us.  He put his ball down and hit it.  The final hole goes down hill and curves far to the right.  Kim said..."wow it's going to the hole!"  Sure enough Cal sinks it for a legitimate hole in one!!

As we were leaving the worker asked us how our round was and we told him the Cal got a hole in one.  He asked how old he was and I said he will be 2 1/2 in October.  He pointed to the sign behind the counter and said, "well he just broke the course record."  How cool is that!  The old record was 3 years 1 month.

So Cal gets his name up on the sign.  What a great night!  Way to go Lil Man!!
