Bears Release Alex Brown

What a shame.  The Bears release Alex Brown after shopping him around the past few weeks.  Chicago couldn't get a trade done so the team sent him packing.

The 31-year old was to make $5 million bucks this season.  As a Bear he started 107 games in eight seasons and had 43.5 sacks.

That opens the door for Mark Anderson to become the starter opposite newly acquired Julius Peppers.

So long Alex.  I'll miss you.  You were a great Bear!  Here is my interview with Alex last season after beating the Detroit Lions at Soldier Field.
