Photo Essay of My Trip to see the Nashville Predators
Sunday, March 21, 2010 at 11:50AM I love hockey, and there is nothing better than to watch it in person. Kim and I do our best to go to at least one Nashville Predators game a season. We also have the added bonus of seeing a lot of close friends and my brother in the Music City. Here is a photo essay of a great Saturday.
Arrive downtown. Arena's name has been changed for 100th time!
The now Bridgestone Arena
Over to our favorite BBQ joint Rippys next to arena
Hook up with all of my peeps!
I was getting grief from the entire city about my Flyers jersey. I vow to get a Preds one!
Of course live music at Rippys. They were great!
Delicious!
Head over to the arena
Inside arena everyone finds a TV to watch UNI upset Kansas
It is Hockey Time!
Incredible 5th row seats center ice thanks to Chris!
We were worried that the Toyota Zamboni may not stop!
I got the 3rd Preds jersey. My wife still sports the Coyotes.
So many chances but neither team could score
We were right by the penalty box. This Blue Jacket got busted for cheating.
Everyone on edge of their seat on a shorthanded breakaway. It was stopped.
LOUD and LONG standing ovation for PK line for killing off 5 on 3.
Me and Lou...still tied with one period to play
The puck would not cooperate with getting in the net!
Things get chippy as we go to OVERTIME
Codey and Cell Block 303 ready for free hockey
Cody Franson's shot goes over the shoulder of goalie!
Fans celebrate the instant the lamp is lit!
Franson gets hugs all around
Good Guys Win
Hero of the night...#1 Star Pekka Rinne with 33 saves and a shutout.
A great night in Nashville
Broadyway is Buzzing
Little Man gets his Preds jersey when we get home.
