Listen to First NFL Draft Podcast with DraftKing.com Owner

There is no such thing as an off-season in the NFL!  Football junkies are preparing for the NFL Draft Thursday April 22nd.  To help get ready for the draft I called on a long-time friend Lou Pickney to help me out.

Lou started the website draftking.com.  He has been putting together mock drafts since 2003, and has done extremely well with both his picks, and his website.

If you have any questions or comments at all on the NFL Draft for Lou and future interviews, please leave them a comment at the bottom of this post, or email me at the link on the left.

In this first interview with Lou, he touches on a number of topics including the top quarterbacks, the importance of the combine, how the uncapped year will affect the draft, what will happen to Tim Tebow, and much much more.  Take a listen, and be sure to send in a question for the next podcast.

A big thanks to Lou for participating!

Lou,

Great interview with Lance. I have a couple of questions. I am a huge Tennessee Titans fan. Last two years, they have made two great first round draft picks with Johnson and Britt. Do they stay the course again in the first round this year or will they go with someone for defense? The other question is do you see a team with a high 1st round draft pick trading out of that position to pick up additional picks? I wonder with the financial situation upcoming for the NFL if some of the teams will try to save money on rookie contracts by trading down?

Thanks,
Blaine

Lou,

Great interview with Lance! I have two questions. I am a huge Tennessee Titans fan. The last two years, they have made great first round draft picks. Do you see them going with offense again this year in the first round or will it be defense? The other question is do you see any teams trading down from high draft picks this year? With the financial situation going on and rookie contracts being way too high, will there be teams trying to cut down on costs and trade down this year? Thanks in advance.

Where do you have Colt McCoy and what do you think of his NFL future?

Interesting listen. I really hope two DT's dont go 1 and 2 because Tampa really needs one of the two. As much as I love what Eric Berry can do, especially after playing under Kiffin at Tennessee, we need a DT.
