The Never-Ending Circus Act That Is Brett Favre

The fine twin cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul welcome the Brett Favre Circus. The Metrodome will turn into the Favre Big Top. Dancing Bears, Juggling Lions, and Elephants standing on one foot will not be able to upstage the uber diva Brett Favre.
So what prompted the drama queen to sign with the Vikings? I have a theory. Maybe it was current Vikes quarterback Sage Rosenfels shredding the Colts defense in a pre-season game. Rosenfels numbers: 10 out of 13 for 91 yards. Rosenfels is not nearly as bad as he has been portrayed. He is light years ahead of Tavaris Jackson. Unlike Favre, Rosenfels has been sweating and bleeding through the heat of training camp with his teammates, practicing, creating chemistry with is receivers, and building a bond with teammates. Favre has been throwing balls to high school kids 1000 miles away in Mississippi.
How bad does the Vikings organization look letting Favre gallop in on his lawnmower just a few weeks before the start of the regular season? What message does that send? I feel bad for all of the Viking players that have had to answer endless questions from the media over and over, and have to stay with the company line.
Favre will be cheered and loved. The fun-loving gunslinger will sell thousands of jerseys and tickets. He will show flashes of greatness. However, in the end he will just add to his record 310 interception total and drag down a very promising NFL franchise.
In one of Favre’s 17 retirements, he cried at the podium, “All good things must come to an end.” That doesn’t apply to the Brett Favre Circus

I feel really bad for Sage...he left Houston for a chance to be a starting QB and, with only Jackson to compete with, I think he had a chance. But, he twist his ankle a little and management gets a big nervous. I agree with most of the sports people on TV this morning...this is a crock that he doesn't have to go through a training camp, gallops in on his white horse, and ends up getting 10 to 12 million dollars. And, didn't Brett last year fall apart midway through the season, throwing interceptions left and right???
At this point who do you have more faith in: Michael Vick or Brett Favre? If I am the Vikings and I need a quarterback I take the risk on the younger guy that hates dogs. Not the old man that wont go away. EVER!
Favre is beginning to remind me of Evander Holyfield. By the way, is he still fighting?
There are three sure things in life. Death, taxes, and Brett Favre not staying retired.
