I'm obsessed with sports. I love music, I have a great job and even better family! My name is Lance Wilkerson.
I'm the Director of Development for the University of Evansville Athletics, as well as the play by play voice of Aces Basketball.
I wanted to be a Major League baseball player. However, I run like a 3-legged hippo, so I did the next best thing.
My late grandpa had a major influence on my favorite teams growing up. I love the Cubs, Bears, Pacers, and Flyers in pro sports. I'm all over the place in college. I lived and died with Evansville Aces basketball when I was a kid. It's really a dream come true to host the Aces radio and TV UE Head Coach Marty Simmons shows. I went to Ball State, so I've always rooted for the mid-majors. I love SEC football, and I root for Alabama. I grew up a Nebraska fan, but Bill Callahan really ruined my passion for the Huskers. Hopefully Pelini will restore the Big Red!
I am a borderline obssessed freak when it comes to the Dave Matthews Band. I have been to 94 shows since 1999. I have met some of my closest friends through DMB. I have whole-heartedly adopted DJM's sieze the day philosophy. See ya on the road!
I idolized Cal Ripken, Jr. growing up. So much so, I named my only child after him! Ripken coudn't have been a better role model. He is everything that's right in pro sports.
I am married to Kim. She's from Kansas City and also a huge sports fan. We have been married since 2001. She's the greatest, and has a lot of patience putting up with me! Our joy is our son Cal. Calvin Jacob Wilkerson was born on April 9, 2008. He is a great kid, and the greatest thing that has ever happened to me!
For over 17 years I was Sports Director at NEWS 25 WEHT-TV in Evansville.
I have met an incredible amount of great people. Many of them had a direct impact in molding me into the person I am now.
